Aeration and Overseed

Core aeration is one of most beneficial things you can do to care for your lawn. Aeration pokes holes through the thatch layer allowing water, nutrients, and seed to better penetrate your soil. Aeration also helps to alleviate soil compaction.

Why Perform Aeration?

  • Reduces soil compaction

  • Disrupts your thatch layer allowing water and nutrients to better penetrate your soil

  • Helps to stimulate better root development

  • Enhances turf heat and and stress tolerance

Spring De-Thatching

Spring de-thatching plays a critical role when looking to maintain a healthy lawn. Over time, thatch begins to accumulate from grass clippings in your lawn. A healthy lawn should have a thatch layer that is no larger than 1/2" thick. Our service removes excess thatch to ensure your lawn is within the correct range.

Why Perform De-Thatching?

  • Removes excess thatch levels which can block water, nutrients, and fertilizer from reaching grass roots

  • Improves foot traffic tolerance

  • Conserves moisture

  • Protects against temperature fluctuations

  • Increases fertilizer effectiveness

  • Stimulates root growth

  • Improves water drainage
